Ryan Earp started his musical journey with the piano at age 5 and later diversified from there. He picked up the electric bass at age 15 and played in several bands including Blind Ambition and Nothing Much. Ryan attended UMD and minored in Jazz Studies where he would have the opportunity to play with Grammy Award winner Bobby Shew. He credits all past musical experiences for getting him where he is today with The Very People.
