Jesse Luoma got his first guitar as a gift from his musician mother. He later went to college for vocal performance. He then traveled around most of America and parts of Europe. He spent time in California, Colorado, Finland, France, and lived for a year in Poland. It was there that he honed his songwriting skills while playing in pubs. He released his first solo album in 2004--Joy in Mathematics. Soon after, he joined his sister and brother to form The Very People, where he can blend his thoughtful lyrics with funk, R&B, soul, and rock.
